When may a train comply with the next signal's indication?

  1. When the previous signal indication requires movement at restricted speed
  2. When its aspect can be clearly seen, and the signal governs the track where movement is occurring or will be made
  3. After passing a Stop and Proceed signal, the next signal is visible, that signal displays a Proceed indication, and the track to that signal is clear
  4. When authorized by the train dispatcher

Answer: When its aspect can be clearly seen, and the signal governs the track where movement is occurring or will be made
Feedback:
This does not apply when a rule or previous signal indication requires movement at restricted speed. Train crews must comply with the requirements of restricted speed until the leading wheels pass the next governing signal.
